CHARGE: The charge of the CAMPO Finance Committee is to:
Work with CAMPO staff to understand how state and federal funding is allocated to the CAMPO region, identify and understand the implications of the funding allocations, and to help develop recommendations for maximizing the use of available funding;
Work with CAMPO staff to develop the long range financial forecast needed for the CAMPO long range transportation plan;
Work with CAMPO staff to provide input into the long range financial forecasts and Unified Transportation Program developed and managed by the Texas Department of Transportation;
Work with CAMPO staff to identify and evaluate funding options for transportation in the CAMPO region, including studying mobility financing strategies in other regions and reporting on the approaches used;
Seek guidance, input and/or approval from the Transportation Policy Board on any actions related to the above, as appropriate.
